Stargazers are fish that bury themselves in the sand near a reef, ambushing prey from their hidden position. Their bodies are surprisingly large and rarely seen. Divers normally only see their eyes and mouth. Stargazers have electric organs over their eyes (whose purpose is unknown), and they sometimes will wave their long, wormlike tongue from the sand, luring in prey. It's hard not to be taken in by the expressions of these fish.
